New, old things.
As a child growing up I remember my family of origin being very reliant on processed, store bought foods. If it wasn’t sold in a store they didn’t trust it. I specifically remember telling them I had read in a book that you could eat dandelion leaves in salad or brew them into a tea. The response I got was “that can’t be true, the book must be wrong, dandelions are weeds.”
